Update - Arrest - Theft of Yorkshire Stone - Roundhay NPT

Officers from Roundhay Neighbourhood Policing Team seized a vehicle and arrested a suspect on 5th March 2026 for theft of Yorkshire Stone, driving whilst disqualified, theft by finding and failing to stop for police. This took place on 4th March 2026 on Park Crescent, Roundhay between 2245 to 2315 hours.

The suspect has since been released on conditional bail as Roundhay NPT officers continue with enquiries.

Sergeant Durrell-Walsh of Roundhay NPT said: “Theft of Yorkshire Stone has been a concern for residents in Roundhay and it has been raised with us at recent PACT meetings. This arrest demonstrates we are listening to those concerns from the local community and will continue to take action against those involved in this type of offending.
